My Christmas Side Porch for 2018

Hey friends! šŸ˜€

I’m super excited to join 24 super-talented bloggers for the Christmas Festival Blog Hop hosted by Kendra at Joy In Our Home!

If you’re coming from Follow The Yellow Brick Home, isn’t Amber’s front porch gorgeous?

My Christmas Side Porch for 2018

This is our porch on the east side of our home. I don’t normally decorate this side of the porch because it isn’t the way guests would come up to the house, but I couldn’t use the west side of our home because it was being pummeled with rain and wind from the storms that came through last week.

My Christmas Side Porch for 2018

We use this side of our porch quite often, especially during the summer months to escape the heat on summer evenings.

My Christmas Side Porch for 2018

I love using natural elements in my outdoor decor during the colder months as it will stay fresh-looking for several weeks. I filled one of my olive buckets with branches from our redwood and bay leaf trees and berries from our heavenly bamboo bushes.

I added the grape box filled with pine cones to fill in the space behind the table. I couldn’t position it any way that looked good, so I put one of the table legs inside the grape box. I’m not sure if I like it or not – what do you think?

My Christmas Side Porch for 2018

I hung a grapevine wreath on a pair of vintage wood skis to add some eye candy behind the rocking chair. I painted the grapevine wreath with white chalk spray paint and addedĀ branches from our redwood and bay leaf trees and berries from our heavenly bamboo bushes.

I’m so jealous! I don’t even have a porch much less a ā€œside porchā€! Even over there it’s so cozy and inviting. You can never go wrong with ski’s and pinecones! Love it all!

You had me at vintage skis Michelle! They are amazing. I’m always on the lookout for some vintage snow skis but being in Florida I usually only come across water skis. I’m not ready to give up the search just yet though, I know they’re out there. I love all the festive touches you’ve added to make this porch extra special. It looks so good. Hugs, CoCo

Hey Coco! The vintage skis were given to me by my in-laws so I really lucked out there! They are hard to find, even in my area where we have skiing relatively close by. I hope you can find some soon! Happy Holidays!

I just love that crate of pinecones and how one of the table legs is in it! Those vintage skis are such a nice touch as well. I hope you get the cleanup from the storms done soon!! Never fun to deal with stuff like that before the holidays!
