Spring Tea on the Balcony

Spring Tea on the Balcony

Hey friends! Today I’m joining a bunch of my talented blogger friends to bring you the I’ts a Spring Tea Party Blog Hop hosted by Amber at Follow The Yellow Brick Home!

If you’re coming from Botanic Bleu, isn’t Judith’s French country style gorgeous?

Spring Tea on the Balcony

I decided to keep things simple for this tea party. It’s seems like we’re all so busy this time of year so I wanted to share something that is really easy to put together.

This balcony is our little outdoor retreat. It’s on the second floor between the master bedroom and bathroom. I love to come out here and enjoy my coffee in the morning when the weather permits. It didn’t take much at all to spruce it up to create a floral themed tea party.

The balcony looks over our backyard where we’re lucky to have some mature trees that attract many different kinds of birds. It’s always relaxing to sit and listen to the birds chatter.

Spring Tea on the Balcony

The table, chairs and rug were already out on the balcony, so all I really did was add potted flowers, pillows and a few vintage finds.

Spring Tea on the Balcony

Crochet doilies have been my thing lately! I paired them with some crochet edged napkins to give it that tea party look.

Spring Tea on the Balcony

I used one of my chicken glass covered bowls to hold some butter cookies to go along with the tea. You know they all got eaten as soon as I was finished taking pictures. I bought the tea set in Berlin, Germany in the late 80’s.

That’s it for my spring tea on the balcony! Next up is Celebrate and Decorate.

How fun to have your own private balcony off the master bedroom! It’s lovely. My favorite part is the large crocheted doilies on the table. Such a cute vintage looking idea!

Hi Michelle, your balcony is the perfect spot for a relaxing cup of tea. The china teaset is beautiful, and I’m a huge fan of white wicker for a porch. Beautiful setting with the vintage goodies!

    Michelle,
Ahhh… white wicker on a second-story balcony is what Southern novels are filled with. I would love sitting on your secluded balcony in my nightgown in the mornings before the day really begins. Having a cup of tea and gazing out across the yard….

Such a comfy little spot to enjoy a spot of tea, be it hot or iced as summer heat arrives! All of your little pots of flowers and plants make this a lovely setting.

Michelle, I can just imagine how relaxing sitting on your balcony with a cup of tea (or in our neck of the woods, a glass of sweet iced tea) would be. Listening to the birds, reading a good book and sipping tea would be heaven. I love your pretty china and the blue hen is darling. I love the lace trim on your napkins. What a lovely spot you have created.

What a lovely spot you have to enjoy a cup of tea! I love your tea set and especially love your covered chicken dish. My grandmother had one of those and I’ve always wanted one of my own.

Ok you and Katie have me on the hunt for wicker! I have had wicker pieces over the years but ended up selling them in my antiques booths. Your little balcony tea party is precious with the vintage doilies that gorgeous tea set. How awesome that you purchased it on a trip to Germany!

All of your flowers look so pretty!

Thanks so much for joining the hop! Enjoy the birds, butterflies, and tea time in your pretty space!
