Fall on the Front Porch

Fall on the Front Porch

Hey friends! I hope you’re having an awesome week!

Fall on the Front Porch

The almond harvest is done for the year and I was in the clear this week to decorate my porch for Fall. The almond harvest turns out an ungodly amount of dust (see my Instagram stories for videos of the harvest) so I always have to hold off decorating my porch until the harvest is done.

Fall on the Front Porch

This is my last stop as far as decorating for Fall this year. Being part of the decorating world, I have to start decorating for the seasons earlier than most people would dream of it. All the pumpkins here were part of my indoor Fall decor and I moved them all out to the front porch to make way for Christmas and Yule decor.

Fall on the Front Porch

Our front door is right before the bay window on our deck and faces the road. This part of the porch is what you’d see first if you drove up into our driveway, so I like to spruce it up since it’s the first thing visitors will see when they come over.

Fall on the Front Porch

All the pumpkins and gourds here are real and I have not painted or altered them in any way. I bought all the mums last year and pruned them when the season was over. They came back pretty well which I was thankful for because that meant I didn’t have to buy any this year!

You may have noticed the amber colored Mason jars and are wondering why I included them. I put solar powered fairy lights inside the jars so they light up at night!

Fall on the Front Porch

I’m embarrassed to say that I didn’t even know amber Mason jars existed until a few weeks ago. Amber glass jars have been all the rage in Fall decor lately and it got me thinking – are amber Mason jars a thing? A quick Amazon search answered my question that yes indeedy, they are! I only used the 16 ounce size here, but bought 3 different sizes of them in 16, 32 and 64 ounces to use in my post how to decorate for Fall using amber Mason jars.

Some of the links in this post are Amazon affiliate links. If you make a purchase through one of these links, I may make a small commission at no additional cost to you. If you do purchase through one of my links, thank you so much for helping keep my blog content free for everyone to enjoy!

The fairy lights will charge themselves up during the day and turn on at dusk.

Fall on the Front Porch

Next year I’m definitely going to add more amber Mason jars with fairy lights!

I hope you enjoyed my Fall on the Front Porch for this year and I hope it gave you some inspiration for your Fall on your front porch!
