Farmhouse Friday 175

Hey there! I hope you had a safe, healthy and happy week!

At last Friday’s party I talked about the almond harvest being finished, which means I can finally get my front porch decorated for fall! Last Saturday I decided to pressure wash our house and wrap around porch to get rid of the inch of dust from the harvest and ash from the recent fires in our area in anticipation of fall decorating. The dust and ash was so bad it took me the whole day to wash it all off. That night I felt like a truck hit me! I know I’m out of shape but I didn’t think a whole day of pressure washing would remove almost all of my ability to move. The next day I was fine beyond being a bit sore so I guess I’m not that out of shape, but it’s still a reminder I need to get my butt back into the gym!

In other news, it’s time for the monthly edition of Thrifty Style Team hosted by Julie at Redhead Can Decorate! Thrifty Style Team is a group of uber-talented ladies who get together once a month to bring you thrifty DIY projects and decor inspiration that won’t break the bank!

Combining Natural and Faux Elements on a Fall Mantel

My contribution for this month’s Thrifty Style Team is mixing natural and faux elements on a fall mantel!

The Painted Hinge ~ Your Farmhouse Friday Hosts ~ County Road 407

This Week’s Features:

This week’s features are all about fall front porches!

Sunshine Cottage Autumn Porch by Everyday Living

Budget Spooky Fall Porch by A Stroll Thru Life

Fall Porch Decor on a 1922 Craftsman Bungalow by Clover House

Link Party Rules:

Link up your DIY projects, decor inspiration, and crafts that are farmhouse style. You don’t have to live in a farmhouse or have farmhouse be the main decor theme in your home in order to link up. I love seeing farmhouse mixed in with other styles such as boho! No food or recipe posts please. I’m super flexible when it comes to defining “farmhouse” so if you are unsure of whether your post will fit in the party theme, go ahead and post it and if I feel it doesn’t fit, it will be deleted – no hard feelings! 🙂 It doesn’t matter how old your posts are, but please link up your posts only once.

I don’t require you to link back to this party, but if you do, I appreciate it! I also don’t require you to visit or comment on other blogger’s linkups, but it’s always a nice way to share the bloggy love! By linking up, you will get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across my social media. If you pin anything from the party, please pin it from the original source.

By linking up to this party, you permit me to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post was featured.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

I know, Michelle…when you use those muscles your body isn’t used to using, it’s miserable! Glad you got your house clean, though! I’ve been horribly sedentary, too; need to get back to moving by body again! Love all the Fall entryways! Thanks for hosting:)

I hear ya, those muscles we don’t often use bite us in the you know what when we do. We’re painting out kitchen cupboards right now and I’m feeling it. Thanks for hosting, Michelle, and happy TGIF!

You’re very welcome Marie! And oh I understand the pain of painting kitchen cupboards! I painted mine a couple of years ago. I loved how they turned out, but I never want to paint kitchen cupboards again 🙂 Have a wonderful week!
