Fall Farmhouse Home Tour Part 1 – Entryway

Fall Farmhouse Home Tour 2015 Part 1- Entryway

Hey everyone! Welcome to Part 1 of my Fall farmhouse home tour for 2015!

The almond harvest is finally over here in my neck of the woods, so now I can get down to some serious Fall decorating! 🙂

Now I’m sure you’re asking yourself: Why does she have to wait for the almond harvest to be over to start decorating for Fall? Check out part 2 of the tour for the explanation. But for now, have a look at our Fall entryway!

Fall Farmhouse Home Tour 2015 Part 1 - Entryway

This picture shows the layout of our entryway bench and sideboard in our house. The sideboard is closest to our front door. The entryway bench is on the wall across from our family room and around the corner from our kitchen. It works well being centrally located because when we have company, they can always get to their jackets and purses easily throughout their visit. And since it’s in a central spot, it’s great for decorating! 🙂

Fall Farmhouse Home Tour 2015 Part 1 - Entryway

I always love to use the stuff I’ve collected over the years to decorate! The rakes, hoes, and pitchfork were my grandfather’s. The milk can and the watering can were flea market finds, and the rocking chair were from my cousins across the street when they had a garage sale a few years back. The banner is my Rustic Banner Letters free printable.

Fall Farmhouse Home Tour 2015 Part 1 - EntrywayHere’s a close up of the top of the entryway bench. The corn is from my garden over the last couple of years. Some the gourds are from my garden, but I didn’t have a lot of luck growing them this year so I had to buy some. :/ The grapevine wreath I made from Thompson Seedless grape vines that have been on our property as long as I can remember. The lantern was my grandfather’s, and the weather vane was given to me by an uncle.

This is my “new” sideboard that I just bought and refinished. You can see the before and after here. Since it is a recent addition, I kept the Fall decorating simple until I can experiment more with decorating it. I usually have to live with a new furniture addition for a while to decide what I like on it and what I don’t. Are you the same way or am I just weird? 😉

Fall Farmhouse Home Tour 2015 Part 1 - EntrywayHere’s a close up of the top of the sideboard. The leaves are from part 2 of my chalk painting dollar store leaves which I’ll post later in the week. The gourds I bought, the electrical insulator, Mason jars, table runner, and frames are flea market finds, and the lantern was my grandfather’s. The Chalk Painted Galvanized Pitcher is a flea market find that I made over.

This Hello Fall Rustic Banner is a free printable and a smaller version of the one that is on my entryway bench.

And here’s a couple of pretty close-ups of the sideboard décor with Chalk Painted Dollar Store Leaves to finish it all up. 🙂

I hope you enjoyed Part 1 of my Fall farmhouse home tour for 2015! Don’t forget to check out part 2 of the tour!

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

That is one big beautiful space you have there. Your sideboard is gorgeous, I have been seeing it all over the place. And the entryway bench is lovely and very rustic. Lots of space for everything Thanks for sharing your entry way with us.

So pretty! I love the bench – the style of it, the placement, the ledge on top and all the great fall items. And the piece in the entry has me itching to go thrifting and find something to refinish 😉 I have a feeling I would love walking through your home and can’t wait to see the rest of the tour!

I am co-hosting the #HomeMattersParty link party this month and would love to have you stop by for a visit. The door opens for the next party Friday at midnight! http://www.alaynascreations.co

My house is maxed out furniture-wise but I have ALWAYS wanted a hall tree like yours. Maybe one day. They look so fun to dress up and always add such pop. Pinning! #AwesomeThingsTuesday

Thank you Leilani! I know how hard it is to part with furniture you already have to make room for new furniture, so I feel your pain!

Thank you Karen! I got it on Amazon a few years back. Unfortunately, they don’t make the exact same style, but they have something similar: http://amzn.to/1GMCUWd
