Farmhouse Patriotic Porch

Hey guys! 4th of July is just around the corner, so I teamed up with some crazy-talented bloggers for a Patriotic Porch Tour hosted by Amber at Follow The Yellow Brick Home! If you’re coming over from checking out the gorgeous porch at The Tattered Pew, welcome!

Beauty For Ashes | County Road 407

This is the sight that will greet you when you come into our driveway. The front porch/door faces the street, but our driveway comes into the right side of our house by our garage. Our front door is to the right of the welcome sign. Even though this isn’t our front door, I like to decorate this area since it is the first thing guests will see when they come over.

What do you do for 4th of July if you celebrate? We normally just play it by ear. If we get invited to a party, we’ll go; if not, we’ll just hang out and barbecue at the house. That’s one thing I really like about 4th of July (besides it’s our country’s independence day) – it’s an easygoing holiday that doesn’t take a lot of prep work to get ready for. I wish all holidays were like that – I think we get too busy preparing for some of our holidays that we’re exhausted by the time the holiday gets here and then we can’t enjoy it.

Farmhouse Patriotic Porch

This is the view from the front of our house. Our front door is to the left and our driveway is to the right.

I wanted to use pillows with patriotic colors, but I didn’t have any on hand. I decided to make my own using dish towels!

The wind was whipping around pretty good on the day I took these pictures. You’ll notice that in a lot of the pictures the flags are flapping to the left in the direction the wind was blowing. I was lucky to get a break in the wind for a couple of seconds to snap this picture without the flags being blown backwards!

Next up on the tour is The Tattered Pew and her gorgeous patriotic porch! Be sure to check out all the patriotic porches through the links below!

Thanks so much for checking out my porch and enjoy the rest of the lovely porches on the tour!

Have a safe and happy 4th of July!

Michelle, I really love your patriotic porch with just a hint of red, white, and blue. I love using linens to make pillows and your dish towel pillows are the best! Happy to be participating in the tour with you! Blessings, Cecilia @ My Thrift Store Addiction

Love your porch and how you’ve decorated it. Seems perfect! Not sure I’d get anything done if I had the opportunity to sit in one of those rockers! Glad we are on the tour together.

Love your farmhouse style! The door and rockers are just perfect. I love your fun jugs. I have a few crocks and planned on using them this year, but then just forgot. Maybe they’ll be on the porch next year. 🙂 Your home is definitely warm and inviting!

I love your porch decorated for the Fourth of July with the white rockers. It looks like a really nice place to sit back and relax. We also play it by ear and have no plans as of yet for the holiday

What a beautiful view to greet guests Michelle! You have perfectly captured your signature farmhouse style on your porch…you even have chippy porch posts! Love that door, the crocks and the rockers! Lately I have been buying up cute dish towels because they are cheaper than fabric sometimes and there are a lot of farmhouse grain sack and grain stripe patterns these days. Love your cute pillows!

Thanks for joining us on the tour!

Thanks so much Amber! Our porch is overdue for repainting, but I do like that the chippy look is in style so I can play it off 🙂 Thanks so much for inviting me to join the tour – it’s been great fun!

You are so right about so many of our holidays demanding so much preparation that we don’t end up enjoying the holiday like we should. I hope you enjoy your 4th and get some time to just sit in those nice rocking chairs amongst your red white and blue decorations and flowers! Your door makes such a great backdrop for your sitting area. I am so glad to have discovered The Painted Hinge and gotten to join you in this hop!
