Is it fall yet? – Farmhouse Friday 114

Farmhouse Friday

TGIF!!! I hope you had a great week and are ready to take on your weekend like a BOSS!

Is it just me, or is the year going by at warp speed? I’ve heard that life goes by faster as you get older, and it’s true from my experience. When I hit 90, it’s going to be like “Happy New Year! …aaaaaand it’s fall.” 🙂

Speaking of fall, are you looking forward to it? It’s my favorite season, both as a season and for decorating. There’s something about the slowing down and quieting feeling of fall that I love. And it’s the one season/holiday that I love jumping in early to decorate.

How early do you start decorating for fall?

This Week’s Features:

Farmhouse Bedroom Fireplace by Penny’s Vintage Home

Penny always blows me away with her decor, and this fireplace is no exception! Click through to her blog to see her fireplace before – it’s equally gorgeous, but it demonstrates how to make the same space look totally different!

Interior pictures of a screened porch converted to a sunroom.

This screen porch turned sunroom by Paula and her hubby is amazing both inside and out! Click through to Paula’s blog to see pictures of the outside as well as more pictures of the inside.

Marie is an absolute pro when it comes to furniture makeovers! Click through to see how this dresser looked before and you’ll see what I mean! 🙂

Repurposed Hanging Bed Spring Planter

Cecilia used old crib bed springs to create this clever hanging succulent garden. Click through to her blog to see the close up pictures of all the little details she added!

Link Party Rules (you can skip over this part if you’re not linking up):

The party rules are super simple! Link up your favorite DIY projects, decor projects, and crafts that are farmhouse style.* If it doesn’t fit into that description, please don’t link it up. Please, no food/recipe posts.

* I use term “farmhouse style” here loosely and I consider any projects, decor or crafts that would work in a farmhouse or any type of country styled home to be farmhouse style. You do not have to live in a farmhouse or it be your predominant style in order to share your projects here.

I don’t require you to link back to this party, but if you do, I would sure appreciate it! I also don’t require you visit or comment on other blogger’s linkups, but it’s always a nice way to share the bloggy love! By linking up, you will get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across my social media. If you pin anything from the party, please pin it from the original source.

By linking up to this party, you agree to give me permission to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post was featured.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

I love this style. It’s so me! And YES! the year is flying by but it is my favorite time of year. And to answer your question I usually start decorating for fall in September even though Florida doesn’t feel like fall until it’s actually winter. Ha!
    Have a lovely day

Thanks so much Kim! We have long summers too here in Nor Cal. Makes it tough when I want to find fall leaves for decorating but all the leaves are still green 🙂

Thank you very much for featuring my apothecary cabinet, Michelle! xo Wish I could share your love of Fall, Michelle but it is my least favorite season. I’m a summer girl and ours are short here in the Canadian prairies so I cherish and hang on tight to every second of it. Fall is a reminder of the S word that is soon to follow. Have a great weekend. 🙂

You’re very welcome Marie! Our summers are very long here in Nor Cal with temps often reaching above 100 degrees, so when fall starts showing up everyone here is more than ready for the cool down. But years ago I lived in Berlin and the summer is literally two weeks long if you’re lucky. It was horrible so I can understand why you’re not crazy about fall 🙂 Have a great week!

Last week I spotted a certain sign of fall – Sam Adams Octoberfest is in the grocery store. It’s coming – the angle of the sun has changed and the days are getting shorter. I am sizing up my pumpkin stock.

Ah yes – when the harvest beers start showing up in the stores, you know that fall is just around the corner 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
