Farmhouse Friday 205

Hey there! I hope you had a good week!

Our week was kinda rough because we lost our Bub to cancer last weekend. He was a sweet kitty that showed up as a stray on our farm in 2012. He’s been battling cancer since last summer, and we were happy we were able to keep him comfortable and give him good quality of life until last weekend, when we knew it was time to let him go.

Bub in 2013.

As you can probably guess I didn’t feel up to doing much this week, but I did have to take one of our other cats Tom to his oncologist vet as he is fighting cancer too. He gets an oral chemo and oral steroid support. Chemo does not affect cats like it does humans and most cats are able to have a good quality of life while on treatment. That is certainly been the case with Tom as he has been on treatment for almost a year now and he is still thriving.

Tom was also a stray who showed up on our farm in 2008.

Tom and Bub were best friends and I can tell Tom really misses his buddy.

Awe, sorry to hear your Bub crossed the rainbow bridge this week, Michelle. Sad to hear you’re going through cancer with Tom as well. It’s hard saying goodbye to our fur babies and watching them suffer. Hugs from Canada! xo Thrilled to see our water wall privacy screen featured this week. Thank you so much!

So sorry to hear about the loss of your kitty. I lost my sweet dog when she was 16 years old 3 summers ago and heart still aches for her. Thinking of you…
